Bear Republic Brewing Company began to take steps to reduce its environmental impact – installing wastewater treatment and heat capture technologies during the production process – and solar energy seemed like a strong way to continue its sustainability push. Bear Republic is also a champion for American business, and its leadership wanted to ensure that the components used in its solar array were manufactured domestically.
