Environmental Finance magazine has unveiled the winners of its annual awards, which recognises leading transactions and individuals active in environmental markets. Launched in 1999, Environmental Finance is the leading global publication covering the intersection of environmental issues and the financial sector. It covers climate change, emissions trading, renewable energy finance, responsible investment and weather risk management, among other subjects.
The awards were open to transactions that had closed in the 12 months to June 2012, and Environmental Finance collected nominations and polled market contacts to draw up a short-list of deals. This short-list was presented to an informal external judging panel, who helped the Environmental Finance editorial team decide upon the winners.
Enphase Energy was honored to receive the IPO of the Year award, and sends our appreciation to the publishers and all involved with the award selection process. Enphase successfully completed its initial public offering in April, 2012, under the ticker symbol ENPH, after opening the NASDAQ on March 30, 2012.
“It’s been a very tough market for IPOs, for the clean-tech sector, and for solar in particular – so it speaks to the quality of Enphase Energy that the company managed to get investors excited,” said Mark Nicholls, editor of Environmental Finance.
Other award categories were:
- Personality of the Year
- Wind Energy Financing of the Year
- Solar Power Financing of the Year
- Bioenergy Financing of the Year
- Carbon Finance Deal of the Year
- Environmental Bond Issue of the Year
- Sustainable Forestry Deal of the Year
- Weather Risk Management Deal of the Year
- Catastrophe Risk Management Deal of the Year
The awards will be published in the July/August of Environmental Finance and will appear on www.environmental-finance.com.
