Why solar?

The Iwamoto family faced an issue common among many Hawaiians: Their high electricity needs for an air conditioner, pool, and other appliances resulted in expensive monthly utility bills. The family wanted to install a solar system that would take advantage of Hawaii’s high sun exposure to produce renewable, free electricity – and in turn, reduce their utility costs.

Why Enphase?

Solar systems in Hawaii must be able to withstand exceptionally high levels of moisture, salt, and heat without corroding or breaking down. Haleakala Solar chose Enphase microinverters due to their high reliability and resilience against the elements. The microinverters were designed with a NEMA 6 rating, which means that they are especially resilient in harsher environmental conditions where other types of inverters might prematurely degrade.
