Stohlman and Rogers wanted to invest in solar energy to protect the company against rising California electricity costs. However, rooftop space was limited, and what was available varied greatly in angle and orientation. 

Due to the design flexibility of Enphase microinverters, Hammond Electric was able to maximize system size despite various rooftop space constraints. The microinverters also ensured optimized system production by ensuring that if a single panel is shaded or stops working, the rest are unaffected.
