Home with backup emergency power on after a power outage

Are you prepared for an extended power outage? Not the ones that result in candlelit board games with the kids, but multi-day spells where the food in your fridge and freezer goes bad?

If you’re like most of the homeowners who responded to a recent Enphase consumer survey, the answer is probably no. While a majority of respondents said they’re concerned about going without power during a blackout, eight out of ten did not have a backup power system, such as a home battery system or a home generator.

Every year Enphase employees participate in GRID Alternatives’ Solarthon, a solar installation block party that brings solar power to deserving families in low-income communities.
