When it comes to solar, there's still a lot of misinformation out there. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) wants to clear that up — and here at Enphase, we're happy to help ensure you get the best and most honest information possible before you go solar.
Responding to the confusion many consumers encounter when shopping for solar, the CPUC has released a Solar Consumer Protection Guide. Starting September 30, the 23-page packet will be distributed to residential solar customers by solar vendors for them to review and sign. This signature from customers will be required before their homes can be connected to the utility grid in the service areas of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) — so it’s important for California homeowners to have an understanding of the guide if they’re considering solar installation.
