Our Latest Field Trip with GRID Alternatives

If you follow our blog closely, you already know we really enjoy our great partnership with GRID Alternatives — the nation’s largest nonprofit solar installer. They’re helping the low-income community go solar, and we’re honored to help make it possible by donating our microinverters.

We recently rolled up our sleeves and joined GRID for a volunteer work-day in Santa Rosa, CA, to help install solar on a single-family home. We wanted to provide some of the highlights of that project with you here, and remind you to share the story of the amazing work GRID Alternatives is doing.

By the numbers:

Enphase volunteers: 8

Number of inverters: 18 Enphase IQ7 microinverters

Savings annually: $1,795

Savings for the family over 25 years: $44,896

We were thrilled to be part of this project — happy to donate our equipment to get the job done, and happy to help a family become part of the green-energy solution while realizing big savings on their energy costs. Thanks, as always, to the team at GRID, as well as to the team here at Enphase that volunteered. We’re proud of the work we do, and honored that we can also be part of projects like this one.
