The IQ PowerPack 1500 can be charged through three different input sources. The time to fully charge the device with each of them is as follows:

  • Wall outlet (AC grid input): Up to 75 minutes*
  • Two IQ Portable Panels (DC solar input): Up to 4 hours*
  • DC 12 V (vehicle socket outlet): Up to 14 hours*

*Exact charging times may vary depending on several factors, including simultaneous charging and discharging. In addition, the time it takes to charge using a solar panel depends on the ambient temperature, amount of solar irradiance, panel orientation, number of solar panels, and other factors.

Yes. The IQ PowerPack 1500 adheres to strict UL 2743 safety and reliability standards for temporary outdoor use. It can be used for general-purpose outdoor activities, like picnics, camping, sports, and more.

The IQ PowerPack 1500 can operate safely in light rain, snow, or other inclement conditions. However, it should not be stored or left outdoors when not in use.

Discharging a portable power station at its full power capacity typically stresses the battery and causes overheating. However, the IQ PowerPack 1500 has unique thermal management features to allow consistent recharge and discharge performance at its full power capacity, under a wide range of temperature conditions. This means it can be immediately recharged with no downtime.

Yes. The IQ PowerPack 1500 is safe to use in a wide range of temperatures.

The temperature range for charging the IQ PowerPack 1500 is 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C).

The temperature range for operating devices and appliances using the IQ PowerPack is -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

Using the device in temperatures beyond these ranges is not recommended, as its performance may be affected.

Yes. You can use the Enphase App to remotely control and monitor your IQ PowerPack 1500.

  • Remotely turn your device on and off, or put it in Power Save mode.

  • Monitor power consumption by connected devices appliances.
  • Choose the time interval for Auto Power Off and Auto Power Save.
  • Set the brightness of the LCD touchscreen manually or set it to automatic brightness.
  • Turn the LED light on your device on or off.
  • Connect the device to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
  • Select the notifications you would like to receive on your Enphase App.

The IQ PowerPack 1500 can run a wide range of devices and appliances, from small electronics and portable tools to larger household essentials.

The IQ PowerPack 1500 can power any appliance if the power requirement does not exceed 1,500 W. Power requirements are usually  found on a sticker on the back of the appliance.

The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery in the IQ PowerPack 1500 is tested to last for more than 7 years, and the device comes with a limited warranty for 5 years or 2500 charging cycles. Other components within the device would typically have a longer operating  life.

A charging cycle is a parameter to measure the battery life of any battery-powered device. Enphase provides the IQ PowerPack with a limited warranty of upto 2500 charging cycles, which means you can charge and discharge your IQ PowerPack 1500 up to 100%, up to 2500 times, without a significant change in the battery performance. The IQ PowerPack 1500 is designed to operate normally even after 2500 charging cycles, but may not charge up to its original battery capacity and will no longer be protected by warranty.

The IQ PowerPack 1500 should be fully charged immediately after unboxing.
To maintain optimal battery health and ensure warranty coverage, it's crucial to charge the IQ PowerPack 1500 to 60% or more at least once every six months, even if it's not in regular use. Failure to do so may void your warranty.

To set up your IQ Portable Panel for charging, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose a safe and open location.
  2. Unfold the panel, extend the three support legs, and orient the panel to face directly towards the sun.
  3. If you’re using the panel outdoors and the surface allows, you can use the six included stakes to secure the panel to the ground.
  4. For optimal charging speed, make sure the panel is not shaded.
  5. To connect the IQ Portable Panel to the IQ PowerPack 1500:
    1. First, connect the panel’s output cables with the two MC4 connectors on the Solar Charging Cable—the male port to the female port, and vice versa.
    2. Next, connect the XT60 connector on the Solar Charging Cable to the DC Solar input port on the back of the device.

Once done, the device will start charging from the IQ Portable Panel.

Yes, you can connect two IQ Portable Panels in series. This will help increase the solar charging speed of your IQ PowerPack 1500.

To connect two IQ Portable Panels in series, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the two panels using the one MC4 connector on each of the panels—male port to female port, and vice versa.
  2. Then connect the remaining MC4 connectors of the panels to the two MC4 connectors on the Solar Charging Cable.
  3. Finally, connect the XT60 connector on the Solar Charging Cable to the DC Solar input port on the back of the IQ PowerPack 1500.  

Once done, the device will start charging from the IQ Portable Panels. For more details, please refer to the panel configuration section of the quick start guide.
 

If IQ Portable Panels get dirty, they should be cleaned to maintain optimal performance and maximize their lifespan. First, remove any dust or dirt with a soft, dry brush. Then, gently clean the panel with water and a soft brush or sponge. Wipe down with a clean, dry towel, or allow to air dry.

No, we recommend using only IQ Portable Panels to charge your IQ PowerPack 1500.

Using third-party solar panels that don't meet the specific input requirements of the IQ PowerPack 1500 may damage the device. Please note that the warranty does not cover damage caused by using third-party products.

The real-world output power of your IQ Portable Panel depends on several factors, including the amount of solar radiation, the amount of shade or debris on the panel surface, surrounding temperature, and panel orientation.

To get the maximum output power from your IQ Portable Panel, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that the panel is directly facing the sun.
  2. When in use, keep the surface of the panel clean.
  3. Check that the panel is not obstructed or shaded.
  4. Keep the area surrounding area the panel well ventilated. 

Some basic precautions that you must take while using your IQ Portable Panel are:

  • Avoid any loose or partial connections. Make sure all connections are solid and secure.
  • To disconnect the IQ Portable Panel, use the Solar Cable Disconnect Tool provided in the box.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the solar panel. There are no user-serviceable parts on the IQ Portable Panel. 

Unlike conventional rigid rooftop solar panels, IQ Portable Panels are portable and easy to set up. Each IQ Portable Panel folds down into an easy-to-carry panel jacket. 

The IQ Cart has been designed to withstand shocks, bumps, and vibrations, and has been rigorously tested for heavy-duty use. It rolls smoothly on pavement, gravel, concrete, packed trails, and other firm surfaces, but we don’t recommend using it in mud, sand, or other soft terrain where the wheels may bog down.

Yes, the IQ PowerPack 1500 can be charged or used to power your appliances while placed on the IQ Cart. Remember to use the cart’s latches to secure your IQ PowerPack 1500 before charging it or operating appliances using the device.

Yes, the wheels of the IQ Cart have an easy-to-engage wheel locking mechanism to prevent any unexpected rolling when the cart is stationary.

Carefully lift the IQ PowerPack 1500 onto the cart. Once the IQ PowerPack 1500 is properly positioned on the cart, engage the two sturdy latches to hold the device securely in place. Whenever the cart is stationary, be sure to engage the wheel locks to prevent any unexpected rolling. 

Keep these things in mind while using the IQ Cart:

  • Do not overload the cart beyond its maximum load-carrying capacity.
  • Do not use the cart for anything other than transporting the IQ PowerPack 1500.
  • Do not use the rear pouch for anything other than storing the Cable Case.
  • Do not excessively use on rough surfaces, as this may shorten the lifespan of the wheels.
  • Keep the telescopic handle lowered when not being used to avoid tipping.
  • Do not drop the cart with or without the device. 
     

When the IQ Cart is not being used to hold or transport the IQ PowerPack 1500, follow the steps below to store it:

  • Keep the cart separate from the device.
  • Lower the telescopic handle to avoid potential tip-over.
  • Fold down the upper frame and attach the latches to the base of the cart before it stowing away.
  • The IQ Cart should be stored indoors when not in use for extended periods.
