ENPHASE IQ8 MICROINVERTERS

Reliable and intelligent IQ8 Series Microinverters offer grid-forming capability with Sunlight Jump Start to ensure that, if the IQ Batteries have been fully discharged and the generator is out of fuel, power can be automatically restored to the home as soon as solar energy is available.

Store excess solar energy to use anytime, especially in the evenings or at night to reduce generator use. Modular design allows you to scale a system up to 40 kWh of storage capacity, and Power Start capability lets you start and run power-hungry appliances like well pumps and HVACs.

Seamlessly parallel a standby generator with solar and batteries for reliable power in any weather and at any time of day. Support for Load Control* means you can automatically manage loads based on whether the sun is shining, the energy capacity available in the batteries, or whether the generator is running.


*An IQ Load Controller must be installed to enable the Load Control feature.

All components of an Off-Grid Enphase Energy System work in harmony to power the home and charge the IQ Batteries as efficiently as possible. Smart generator integration optimizes use to minimize fuel consumption. Enphase Power Control ensures a stable microgrid and prevents excess power backfeed into the generator.

Each IQ Battery 5P offers 3.84 kVA of power with 5 kWh of capacity.  

With Enphase Power Control, you can scale a system to 40 kWh of capacity and 15.4 kVA of power.

You can connect up to 15.4 kVA of solar and 15.4 kVA/40 kWh of battery storage, as well as up to 15.4 kVA from an AC standby generator, providing up to 46 kVA of total power. 

The IQ System Controller 3 integrates a Generator Interconnect Device (GID) to parallel an AC standby generator with solar and batteries. Intelligent integrated algorithms control when the generator is started and stopped, as well as how much power is used from the generator to reduce fuel consumption.

Off-Grid support for 3rd-generation Enphase Energy Systems will be available soon. Commissioning will be enabled with the Enphase Installer App version 4.3, which is scheduled for release by the end of September. Design reviews and beta participation are currently open.
