Karen Maxwell
Vice President, Quality
Karen brings to Enphase over 35 years of manufacturing and quality expertise from large manufacturers, suppliers, and start-ups. She has built world-class quality organizations and has intimate knowledge in lean manufacturing techniques from her lengthy automotive background at Toyota and General Motors/Saturn.
Karen joined Enphase in 2019 as the vice president of quality. Prior to joining Enphase, she was the vice president of quality and reliability at SolarCity (prior to its acquisition by Tesla) for all solar products. Previously, Karen worked at Cypress Semiconductor, where her last position was senior director of procurement and business operations. She also worked in the automotive industry at Toyota, General Motors, and Saturn, where she held a progression of roles in all areas of manufacturing and quality, including the assistant general manager of quality for the NUMMI automotive joint venture (Toyota/General Motors) prior to its closure in 2010. Karen spent the early part of her career in automation engineering at IBM and product engineering at General Motors.
Karen received her B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an M.S. degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
