AI Optimization profile is now available
The app now supports the AI Optimization profile for systems with third-party inverters and IQ Batteries. This profile maximizes financial savings based on electricity rates, consumption patterns, and expected solar production. AI Optimization should be selected if the user’s main energy goal is saving more money on utility bills. This feature will be slowly rolled out to users.
For Enphase App users on dynamic tariffs in Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands:
New video tutorial on system profiles
A new video tutorial on system profiles is now available in the app. Go to Menu > Settings > Profile to watch.

For Enphase App users with IQ Batteries:
Option to opt out of ongoing storm alerts
You will now be able to Opt Out of individual storm alerts without disabling the Storm Guard feature.
You can also navigate to Menu > Settings > Profile > Storm Guard to opt out of ongoing alerts.
- When a storm alert is issued, you can opt out if you so choose.
- If you opt out, your system profile will be immediately restored to its previous profile.
- Opting out of a storm alert allows your battery to continue discharging to support home loads if you feel discharging is more important than preparing the battery for a potential grid outage.
- After opting out from an ongoing alert, you have an option to Opt In again from the Storm Guard page.
Storm Guard auto-activation for critical alerts
To safeguard your system from blackouts caused by battery depletion, Storm Guard will be automatically activated for critical alerts that have a high chance of causing grid outages.
This activation will occur even if the Storm Guard feature had been previously disabled in the app. If Storm Guard is disabled, it will only be activated for the duration of the critical alert. The Opt Out option is not available for critical alerts.

IQ Gateway software version 8.2.4378 improves the performance of the Enphase Energy System for the countries listed below. It also supports busbar overload control and Enphase electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) dynamic load balancing Power Control System (PCS) features for the United States and Puerto Rico.

Power Control with busbar overload control accelerates the system payback period by enabling maximum renewable energy generation. This feature enables the safe installation of larger solar and battery systems while maximizing power through a larger backfeed—without costly upgrades to the main panel.2 Introduces the Enphase IQ EV Charger Power Control System (PCS) feature for the United States and Puerto Rico The dynamic load balancing PCS feature in the Enphase IQ EV Charger is designed to monitor the total energy consumption of your home. This feature is crucial as it ensures that the charger adjusts its charging current based on the home’s overall power usage. This is supported for all models of the IQ EV Charger (IQ-EVSE-NA, 40 A, 50 A, 60 A, and 80 A) installed with an IQ Gateway or IQ Combiner.
This enables the installation of a more powerful IQ EV Charger by avoiding main breaker trips when home loads are extremely high—saving installation costs that would otherwise be incurred by main breaker/service upgrades.3 Supports full Off-Grid operation - Supports microinverter phase association during Off-Grid operation and keeps communication healthy with the gateway.
- Provides an option to configure the system to operate Off-Grid via the Enphase Installer App or Enphase Installer Portal using a gateway REST API.
4 Improves IQ Battery 5P battery management unit (BMU) behavior - Improves State-of-Charge (SoC) calibrations under lower and higher SoC conditions.
- Resolves an issue with battery power conversion units (PCU) pre-charge, which helps recover the battery from extreme low SoC conditions.
- Fixes an issue with a continuous battery software reset event when a software update is tried while the battery is in a very low SoC condition.
- Correct an issue where the BMU reads the cell voltage incorrectly and becomes non-operational when the DC Switch is turned off and on.
- Fixes an issue seen on sites with M Series Microinverters; a rare instance of SoC drop was observed due to manual SoC calibration done by the Battery Controller as part of compensating leakage current.
- Corrects a sudden jump in the battery SoC value due to forced calibration of the SoC.
- Addresses incorrect State-of-Health (SoH) calibration when the battery unit charges fully and then discharges more than 50% of its capacity
5 Faster battery charging for Off-Grid systems with IQ7 Series Microinverters This software release enables faster charging and more reliable state of charge (SoC) recovery for Off-Grid batteries connected to systems with IQ7 Series Microinverters. This improvement is achieved by changing the following parameters for IQ7 Series Microinverters:
- Reduced entry service time: The entry service time is minimized to just 1 second.
- Increased ramp rate: The ramp rate is boosted to 100% per second.
These enhancements are activated only when an IQ System Controller is present and functioning normally. This ensures that the controller manages grid interconnection parameters in accordance with utility requirements, rather than relying solely on the photovoltaic (PV) microinverters.
6 Improves cloud reporting behavior - The Enphase App sends homeowner notifications when there is a grid outage and the battery SoC is below 50%, 30%, or a very low SoC. These notifications will be sent until grid power is restored.
- Increases the amount and frequency of data reported to the Enphase Cloud when IQ Gateway connectivity is restored after loss of internet connection.
- Fixes an issue where IQ Battery telemetry data gets missed, leading to spikes in graphs on the Enphase Installer Portal.
- Includes phase imbalance management (PIM) system settings in the configuration report.
7 Bug fixes and feature enhancements - Disables the PV breaker open detection in the IQ System Controller (version 1) since it is unnecessary for system controller versions that do not support IQ8 Microinverters.
- Addresses meter spikes that are observed during software upgrades.
- Resolves an issue with battery CPU memory access faults during software upgrades.
- Corrects an issue where the IQ Batteries showed low DC voltages under fully charged conditions.
- Fixes an issue where microinverters were down due to boot-diode failure.

This release is being deployed to all IQ Gateway, IQ Combiner, Envoy S Metered, and Envoy S Standard devices stated above through remote software upgrades for existing systems. Note that this release is currently being deployed to sites connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Sites connected to the internet via Enphase Mobile Connect cellular modems will receive a different software version as a maintenance release at a later date.

Renamed String Inverter page and added panel information
Along with the inclusion of Panel information, we have renamed the String Inverter page to Third Party Inverter in the Devices section.

Improved battery mode selection
Battery mode selection is now part of the System Information page. This will reduce the time spent by technicians in the field.
Wiring verification for battery mode changes
When changing the Battery Mode from Import Only to Export Only, installers will be shown instructions to verify the main load panel wiring.
Ability to add device serial numbers before gateway serial numbers
Installers can now add serial numbers for IQ Microinverters and Q/IQ Relays without entering a gateway serial number, which provides greater flexibility and convenience.
Warning for unusual breaker sizes in PCS sites
A warning will appear on the PCS Based Limiting page if an installer selects an uncommon breaker size (0-15 A) in the Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance and IQ Battery Oversubscription sections.
Aggregate Power Export Limit setting in the Configuration section
Installers now have the ability to directly select the Aggregate Power Export Limit (PEL) on the PCS Based Limiting page of the Configuration section, if available for the geography.

- Consumption meter validation
- While enabling a consumption meter, the Enphase Installer App will check if the production readings are captured correctly in the production meter for different consumption meter locations (Load with solar or Load only).
- If a wiring error is detected, installers will be blocked from enabling the consumption meter and instructed to fix the error.
- Ability to enable consumption meters in low light conditions
- Installers will be allowed to enable consumption meters even in low light conditions with low solar power production.
- Production meters cannot be enabled with erroneous phase configuration
- Installers will be blocked from enabling a production meter when they mistakenly select a three-phase site configuration as single-phase instead of three-phase.
For installers in the United States commissioning Off-Grid only sites:
- Enphase Installer App now allows Off-Grid only commissioning
- Installers will be allowed to commission Off-Grid Enphase Energy Systems.

- Microinverters will start producing power within 5 minutes, but every microinverter will produce at a reduced rate.
After generating the summary report, Microinverters will be rebooted once they receive the necessary configurations, and normal operation will be resumed.

For any NEM 3.0 system in California, as well as systems on dynamic tariff or time-of-use rates in Belgium and Netherlands, we have added a new system profile called AI Optimization. Replacing the former Savings profile, it maximizes financial savings based on electricity rate, consumption pattern, and expected solar production. This profile should be selected if the user’s main energy goal is saving more money on utility bills.Exporting to the grid in the Self-Consumption profile for NEM 3.0 systems
For users on NEM 3.0 who prefer to keep their system profile set to Self-Consumption, and for whom the Battery Mode is Export only, the Discharge battery to the grid feature will be available to benefit from high export rates, especially during the months of August and September.Whenever the profile is switched to Self-Consumption, the Discharge battery to the grid feature will be auto-enabled. Once enabled, the discharge time window will be automatically set based on the user’s set tariff. If the tariff is missing, the discharge time window will be identified using the NEM 3.0 rates available at the user’s location based on ZIP code.
Users with their battery in Export only mode can navigate to Menu > Settings > Battery to enable or disable the Discharge battery to the grid feature.
