Frequently asked questions
What is the importance of IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters?

Due to the rapidly changing PV module landscape, we are witnessing an emergence of PV modules with higher DC output currents. Currently, M10 wafer-based PV modules are the most prevalent in the market. The DC output current of these modules ranges from 13 A to 14 A at standard test conditions (STC). IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters with a maximum continuous DC input current of 14 A are ideally suited for these higher-current modules.

Where can I find the specifications for IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters?

Click the individual SKUs to see the data sheets:

                  IQ8MC-72-M-US

                  IQ8AC-72-M-US

                  IQ8HC-72-M-US

All these SKUs support 240 V-split-phase (L-L), 180° grids in a single-phase/split-phase and 208 V-single-phase (L-L), 120°connection.

Can IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters be used in the same system as the existing IQ8 Series Microinverters (i.e., IQ8, IQ8+, IQ8M, IQ8A & IQ8H)?

Yes, IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters can be used in the same system and branch along with the IQ8, IQ8+, IQ8M, IQ8A, IQ8H-240, and IQ8H-208 Microinverters. Moreover, these microinverters can be connected to the same IQ Gateway.

Do IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters support 240 V and 208 V single-phase?

Yes. IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC Microinverters support 240 V split-phase and 208 V single-phase in the United States. Check the respective data sheets for more information.
