For 240 V: 10 microinverters per branch.
For 208 V: 9 microinverters per branch.
The main difference between the IQ8X Microinverter and IQ8HC Microinverter is the MPPT voltage range. IQ8X Microinverter supports MPPT voltage ranges of 43 V – 60 V, whereas IQ8HC Microinverter supports a lower MPPT voltage range of 29.5 V – 45 V. IQ8X Microinverters are the only choice available when panels have an MPPT voltage range between 40 V to 60 V and short circuit current less than 13 A at highest temperature.
The IQ8X Microinverter is compatible with panels that have higher output DC voltage: typically, 80 half-cell, 88 half-cell, and 96-cell modules. IQ8X Microinverters are recommended to be paired with panels that have an MPPT voltage range between 40 V to 60 V and a short circuit current less than 13 A.
The IQ8X Microinverter is a 384 VA microinverter compatible with panels having a capacity of up to 540 Wp.
No enforced DC/AC ratio and the maximum input power. Modules can be paired as long as the maximum input voltage is not exceeded and the maximum input current of the inverter at the lowest and highest temperatures is respected. See the compatibility calculator at https://enphase.com/installers/microinverters/calculator.
IQ8X Microinverter supports the latest PV modules that provide higher power output. The IQ8X Microinverter has a peak output power of 384 VA. In comparison, IQ7X Microinverter has a peak output power of 320 VA. Additionally, the IQ8X Microinverter also supports all the IQ8 Series Microinverters features, such as Grid-forming and Sunlight Jumpstart. This enables customers to start installations as PV only and scale as per their requirements to build grid agnostic solutions with IQ8 Series Microinverters.
